Friday Photowalk Tip - Simplicity and Breaking the rules of third

The first one is the original and in the second I put the poor bird totally  in the middle even though I think he's pretty much in the middle in the original shot to.

Then I did some cropping to break the rule of third. I think that the Simplicity Tip  fits all because its clean photos with only blue and grey in them but the last one might suit that theme best. As always I'm greatful for comments and ideas from you! For information of the tips follow the links Simplicity  Breaking the rules of third

I like him no matter where you put him, but I think the last picture is the best!

I like the first and the last the best. The first one does break the rule of thirds by placing him in the middle but the leading lines of the structure he's standing on do a great job of adding graphic interest and leading the eye. The bold blue background doesn't hurt either - what a sky! The last one is perfect for the Simplicity theme, focusing the bird in the intersection of the left and lower third of the frame with all that wonderful blue open space. Very nice job on both.

hm, undrar om det Gyllene snittet gäller även vertikalt. Jag vill nämligen kapa av lite i överkanten på den tunnaste bilden i tredje raden.

I like the 2nd and last photos the best.

I don't always follow the rule of thirds. I think it's something to keep in mind but it does not always produce the most interesting photo.

Even thought THE rule is broken, I think the simplicity of the image makes up for it and makes the whole image!

Simplicity certainly! I like the bottom photo best - the large sky adds so much. It's hard to break the rule of thirds completely, isn't it?
