Some of the creations my grandmother made, so thin I would never be able to copy those. The pillowcase is made out of linen she weaved herself. The ordinary sized match is just there to show the size.
Hiya Christine, Great minds think alike :-) I've just been taking pictures of my lace collection. It looks great close-up but you don't get a sense of scale. I didn't know what to use for that. Somehow a match has the connotation of burning, and i wanted something different. Ah, just had a thought: a ring.
Such beautiful craftsmanship, Christina. Is this crochet or tatting? Your photos really show the lacy look of this work. Your grandmother does beautiful handiwork.

How beautiful! My grandmother made lovely creations like these too and I'm ever amazed at all the hours of detailed work that went into them.
I love handmade lace! And to think your grandmother made it and wove the linen, I bow to her love of lace and ability to create beauty!

Of all the "lacy" themes, this is the best one! Did you have the opportunity to learn this skill from our grandmother?
I like the way you included the wooden match as a reference point and that you captured so many of the different patterns.
