Wow, your grandmother did an amazing job! So beautiful! I could never make something like that I am way to heavy handed LOL!
Oh my, those are gorgeous!I totally admire people that have the patience to work such fine things!Amazing!
These are so pretty! I stopped crocheting for a while now, just didn't have the time anymore.
Beautiful!!! I have some of my grandmothers work too. This is wonderful! Cathy
beautiful!! and your grandmother did a great job
These are so beautiful! I've tried to photograph lace before and it is hard to capture the intricacy. You did an excellent job...
Hiya Christine,Great minds think alike :-)I've just been taking pictures of my lace collection. It looks great close-up but you don't get a sense of scale. I didn't know what to use for that.Somehow a match has the connotation of burning, and i wanted something different. Ah, just had a thought: a ring. Your chrochet looks so pristine.
OMG ! I could never do that ! but I live in the country of laces ! Bruges laces and Brussels laces !
Åh, vad vackra spetsar eller är det dukar.. riktigt nära bilder på vackert konsthantverk:)
These make great macros.
How beautiful! My grandmother made lovely creations like these too and I'm ever amazed at all the hours of detailed work that went into them.
I love handmade lace! And to think your grandmother made it and wove the linen, I bow to her love of lace and ability to create beauty!
Thank you for sharing your family treasures with the world. Fine work like this is a lost art deserving of celebration.
memories. :) so long since I made one myself. They are so beautiful.
These are very beautiful pieces, many, many years ago I also made one, but it was not easy.
Lovely treasures! Great macro shots!
Lovely lacework! You photographed it well too.
Love the elegant intricate designs! Really pretty!
How very beautiful! Your photos are a fine tribute to your grandmother. Did you inherit her patience?
Such beautiful craftsmanship, Christina. Is this crochet or tatting? Your photos really show the lacy look of this work. Your grandmother does beautiful handiwork.
Of all the "lacy" themes, this is the best one! Did you have the opportunity to learn this skill from our grandmother?I like the way you included the wooden match as a reference point and that you captured so many of the different patterns.
